About 12 years ago I fell pray to the internet dating service. I met this women on line (No Picture) and we decided to meet on Taco Thursday at a bar. She said she has slender and cute with a waterfall tatoo running down her back leg. I got to the bar and noticed a tall slender women with long dark hair and the Tatoo. She turned around and WOW!!! She had a face that would have made a 40lb. sack of onions cry. I walked over and said hello and she replied with a bigger hello. Her breath was as bad as her face. She had rotten teeth. We went outside because she needed to smoke. She not only smoked but had to do a line of white powder a nearby friend presented her on a compact mirror.

Hey Johnny, theres usually a reason why theres no pic....lol. Especially in todays world of technology.

I know it is a cliche but it isn't what you are looking at - it is the light within the person that is important. I know some women that may not be society's example of beauty but are very beautiful to me. Some women have an inner light or glow that sets them apart. Call it personality or confidence but whatever it is it is fascinating and wonderful and has nothing to do with their exterior.

I dislike the word ugly and never use it, I think it only reflects the ugliness within ourselves.
Oh I am better looking than that person so i am a better person kinda thing...

I teach the little kids how to walk confidently on a tennis court - head up, shoulders back - it is cute practicing with them - but it transcends tennis and can be a part of your life. Use smoke and mirrors if you have to but display confidence and you are on the right track

I never have and never will judge someone by what they look like, nor do I judge people by someone elses oppinion of them or hearsay. I make my own oppinions by the way they treat me. Some of the most beautiful people I have ever had the privilege of meeting and knowing are some of the individuals that my daughter works with and that I see at the hospital. They are mentally handicapped, but have the most beautiful, pure and loving hearts.

You're right, the light within is what's important, however, if your stomach turns when you look at the person, there's going to be another light issue ... with the light switch. Catch my drift?

Seriously though, being a BBW my entire life, I can say first hand that I know some men are absolutely not attracted to us ... and that's fine! While beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, it goes for the face as well as the body.

Watch how he (or) she , treats other people they know.
If they are rude, mean, hateful, say bad things so on and on. They will in the end treat you the same way.
Edit to add: REALLY WATCH, just cause they are nice and friendly to someone- watch if it's fake, or cold, so on.. You really have to watch.
cause he / she can be the nicest person to the outside world and everyone thinks they are great, but it's cold at home cause it's all fake.

When you go out to dinner, watch how they treat the waitstaff. If they're rude, overly picky, or don't tip...even though the service was good...RUN!!!
