I used to make dressing from scratch, but with only the two of us to cook for, it's absurd. These days, I use 1 box cornbread stuffing mix, 1 box turkey or chicken stuffing mix. I add 1/2 lb. maple-flavored sausage, browned and drained, 1 cup pecan pieces, and 1/2 cup dried cranberries. I use a little more water than called for and cook as directed on the box. Pretty good stuff, and we can finish the leftovers the second day.

Hmmm... I like raisins in my stuffing but cranberries would give it a nicer kick. Thanks for the tip!

I'm not terribly fond of cranberry sauces, relishes and such, but I like dried cranberries in green beans, salads, dressing, baked goods...and homemade trail mix. Yum.
