1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix all ingredients until well blended. Pour equal amounts of cinnamon and sugar into a zip-lock bag. Pinch off dough and roll into balls, place in bag and shake to coat. Place balls onto a cookie sheet and press with a fork (or you can get all Martha Stewart if ya like!). Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for about 10 minutes, or until golden.
