This is one of our favorites
Start with either a pork or beef roast
1 medium onion chopped
1 can of mushroom soup
1 envelope of beefy mushroon dry soup mix or beefy onion
2 1/2 cups of water
1 package fresh mushrooms(your choice)
Season the roast with salt, pepper ect
mix all other ingredients together, except mushrooms
pour over meat and add mushrooms
cook for 6-8 hours
This is good with potatoes added if you like, but I like it with mashed potatoes or rice
Also makes a really good hot open faced sandwich
I usually mix the dry soup with the can of soup before I add the water..mixes better

I tried a super-easy new recipe tonight and the kids gobbled it up...
Broccoli Cheese Chicken
Ingredients:
4-6 chicken breasts (depending on how big your family is)
2 cans of condensed Broccoli cheese soup
1/2 cup of milk
dash of pepper and salt
Preparation:
You should brown the chicken a little in a skillet (you don't have to but it does give it a little more flavor), then add everything to the slow cooker and cook for about 4 hours on high. Stir occasionally, if desired.

Barbaque Crockpot Chicken
A tasty crockpot chicken barbecue
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground red hot pepper flakes, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients for the sauce in the slow cooker. Add the chicken, try to coat it well with the sauce.
Cook on high 3-4 hours, or until chicken is fully cooked all the way through. Then shred or cut up the chicken, and replace it in the Barbecue sauce in the pot; mix it all up so all the pieces are coated.
You can keep the slow cooker on low to keep the chicken warm for serving on hard rolls.
Delicious!

This is one of my favorites.
Jerk Turkey Soup
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper, divided
1 pound(s) boneless, skinless turkey breast(s), cut in 2-inch chunks
1 medium garlic clove(s), minced
1 medium onion(s), chopped
14 1/2 oz canned diced tomatoes, fire-roasted with green chilies, undrained
15 oz canned black beans, (or pinto beans) drained and rinsed
2 cup(s) canned chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
2 tbsp cilantro, fresh, minced
Instructions:
In a medium bowl, combine allspice, cayenne, ginger, garlic salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Add turkey and toss to coat; set aside for 15 minutes.
Place turkey in a 5-quart slow cooker; add any spices remaining in bowl. Add garlic, onion, tomatoes, beans, broth, salt and remaining 1/4 teaspoon of pepper; stir. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 7 hours. Stir in lime juice and cilantro; let sit for 5 minutes for flavors to blend. Yields about 1 1/2 cups per serving.
I ususally toss an extra:
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 clove garlic minced
into the crock pot with the rest of the ingredients to help season the broth. It is a Jerk dish..it should be flavorful.
I ususally use 1/2 of a Scotch bonnet pepper in this dish (I like spicy foods) but I warn you it will be hot! Just use the 'meat' of the pepper take out the seeds and ribs and make sure you dice it finely. You do not want to bite into a hunk of this pepper.
NOTE: Scotch Bonnet Pepper: A cultivar of the habanero, it is one of the hottest peppers in the world!!!!!

Thank you! I'm using their BBQ Ribs recipe tomorrow.
I usually slow roast my chicken in the oven, but last week I experimented a little.
I cooked a whole chicken in the crock pot -- the results were delicious!
1 whole chicken
1 can chicken broth
1 apple, cored and quartered
I onion, peeled and quartered
Mrs. Dash or seasonings of your choice
Remove insides from chicken, rinse inside and out with cold water and pat dry.
Sprinkle seasonings inside chicken cavity.
Stuff apple and onion pieces in chicken cavity. Place any leftovers in bottom of crockpot.
Place chicken in crock pot, sprinkle outside with seasonings.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
